Today FMs SHAVE or DYE

My name is Ian Gaughran, and my friend Elaine Costello and I are hosting our very own SHAVE or DYE event.

You may have seen or heard the advertisements for Today FMs SHAVE or DYE, where presenters from the station are either shaving or dyeing their hair, all in aid of The Irish Cancer Society. Listeners are being urged to donate by text, sponsor a presenter or host their own event.

Well we have plumped for the latter, and are holding our own SHAVE or DYE event in Rush Bar in Dublin’s South William St on the 26th Feb. What started on Sunday evening as a one-man sponsored head shave has spiralled into a massive event, and once the word spread, volunteers began to flow in. We now have a number of volunteers willing to part with their beloved hair, or dye it psychedelic pink!!

These volunteers have experienced firsthand the effects of cancer, and are determined to do everything they can to make this the biggest night of the year so far, and raise a fortune for this great cause.

Rush Bar have kindly donated the venue free of charge, and one of our hottest up and coming bands, Jupe are providing the live entertainment. Today FM has given us their backing and have set the ball rolling, providing us with the essentials needed to make this a success. We are hoping to secure a couple of special guests and we would love to hold a prize draw and auction on the night, in order to really bring the cash in.

Obviously on the night we will be passing the buckets around and accepting donations, but WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! If you would like to donate, or if there is anything you or your company feel they could provide us as a prize, or even better...something that could go for auction, we would be eternally grateful.

Because this IS a great cause, and we want our night to be a great night...with your help we can make this possible, so please, if at all possible, get in touch with myself or Elaine.
