A tight game on Saturday saw the game end in a 1-1 draw. John Baxendale captained the Knocklyon side. There was very little to choose between the two sides to-day who were meeting for the first time. It took a penalty to separate the sides on 19 mins. Andrew Moran slotted the ball home neatly from the spot-kick. Almost immediately however, the visitors went down the other end of the pitch and equalized just before the break. A tight second half amazingly saw no further goals although Andrew was unlucky to see one of his shots come back off the cross-bar. Jack Larkin was strong at the back with Shane and Ciaran both helping out as a team. Jamie, Nathan and John had good spells during the game. David worked hard to try and get on the score-sheet. Conor performed well in goal again to-day shutting out Raheny.
Joe won team player of the week for his endless efforts for the team in the middle of the park to-day and was full of running from start to finish. Credit to the team, this stretches their unbeaten run to 8 matches.Well done! more «
